Account Manager

Job Title: Senior Account manager 

Locations: Australia 

Salary: $55,000- $70,000

The Account Manager must have the competency to represent the business in selling the range of 
products and services that they have on offer to other organisations, whilst supporting and 
administrating large numbers of key business tasks. The candidate must be strong, commercially 
minded, motivated, independent and meticulous with the ability to work dynamically in a constantly 
changing environment. They must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to work 
with a variety of different organisations across different industries.

The candidate needs to demonstrate competent literacy in the range of services which the company 
offers and a good understanding of financial products as this role is for a sales professional across a 
variety of industries. This role is very hands-on. 

  • University degree and relevant experience within the organisation;
  • Ability to effectively analyse opportunities within the market and provide valuable solutions 
  • to the organisations customers;
  • Clear and Concise approach to problem solving;
  • Good communication skills, frequent liaisons with key stakeholders will be necessary;
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to negotiate key business terms and establish good working relationships


  • Work as part of a global team of Account Managers and Sales Representatives in servicing 
  • FDM’s client base with valuable solutions.
  • Manage key FDM client accounts and direct the development and implementation of Sales 
  • strategies and the setting of sales targets to maximise FDM’s sales and customer loyalty.
  • Maintain good working relationships with clients and assist in managing the performance of 
  • the solutions provided.
  • Quote and negotiate prices and credit terms, complete contracts and ensure records are 
  • correctly kept.
  • Compile lists of prospective clients from a variety of sources.
  • Acquire and update knowledge of FDM’s and competitors’ services, along with market 
  • conditions.
  • Visit FDM’s clients and prospective clients regularly to establish and act on selling 
  • opportunities.
  • Promote FDM’s services to existing and new clients.
  • Assessing needs of FDM’s clients and explaining the services that meet those needs.
  • Arrange the provision of services with new and existing clients.
  • Reporting to sales management on sales made and the marketability of FDM’s services
  • Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction with FDM’s services.
  • Prepare sales reports, maintaining and submitting records of business expenses incurred.
  • Assist in the recruitment and hiring of new employees in the region
