The roleA fantastic opportunity has arisen with this award-winning organisation based in our busy Brighton office for an Accounts Payable Assistant. This role is integral to the business, providing financial, administrative and accounting services.Duties include; ensuring accurate and efficient processing and payment of supplier invoices; regular review of the Purchase Ledgers; and performing bank reconciliations.Duties and responsibilities• Processing, posting on GP Dynamics and paying of supplier invoices (for different entities and currencies) • Chasing outstanding invoices and missing invoice approvals and associated checklists• Maintaining good visibility of the Accounts Payable Tracker• Reviewing and maintaining the Purchase Ledger to a high standard• Performing bank reconciliations (at least monthly)• Responding promptly to enquiries from Finance and the rest of the business• Good awareness of and strict adherence to Finance’s Risk Control MatrixEssential criteria• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce work with a high level of accuracy• Good organisation and workload management skills• Positive and helpful attitude• Approachable and able to communicate effectively in a professional manner• Able to work independently and in a teamDesirable criteria• Previous experience within Accounts Payable• Processing payments in foreign currencies
