Content Writer with ‘Star Power’
We’re looking for a stellar performer to share our skyward trajectory as we expand our digital footprint and drive more value through online content. Is that person reading this right now?
Make your talent known working as an integral part of our global marketing team. Tackle a variety of long and short form writing projects including website, email, advertising, and social campaign copy as well as case studies, reports, video scripts, brochures, white papers and blogs. Whew!
The Content Writer will report to our Digital Marketing Manager and will have a close working relationship with our Marketing Managers and other internal stakeholders, strategising communications campaigns, and planning content ideas. Within this role, you will have the desire to become a subject matter expert on all aspects of FDM, fully immersing yourself in the brand.
The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of producing pieces that educate audiences, increase engagement and drive leads. This position requires a high level of creativity, as well as the ability to use data-driven insights to write best-in-class material.
The successful candidate should also be detail-oriented and committed to meeting deadlines. Ultimately, you’ll deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our multiple target audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness. We would like to see a journalistic approach to blog writing to keep FDM relevant and produce shareable content.

Duties and responsibilities
During a typical day you will:
Research blog topics within the tech space that will hit high impressions and readership
Work with relevant stakeholders to create a content strategy based on FDM’s target audiences and their user journeys
Use SEO best practices to maximise online visibility and generate traffic to our website
Analyse content marketing metrics and make changes as needed
Collaborate with other departments and conduct in-depth research on industry-related topics to create innovative and original content ideas
Utilise industry best practices and familiarity with the organisation's mission to inspire ideas and content
Tailor content and style of writing assignments to match their purpose of sell or inform
Work with creative teams / web designers to ensure that the visual elements of the web page and interactive PDFs complement the written content
Proofread content for errors and ensure all-round consistency (style, fonts, images, tone)
Must-have skills and qualifications
Either: 5+ years' experience from a client-side position or a creative agency having worked on advertising, digital, long copy for collateral and blogs
Or: you can demonstrate outstanding content writing credentials from other commercial experiences
An effective communicator - through your excellent writing skills and ability to collaborate
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Can confidently work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Good time management skills, including prioritising, scheduling, and adapting as necessary
Knowledge of digital marketing tactics, including SEO, email marketing and web analytics
Eagerness to thrive in a fast-paced environment
The ‘great-to-have but not essential’
Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism or related field
Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress)
Experience with task management platforms (e.g., Monday.com), SEO software and web analytics tools
Experience in journalism or as an SME writer
Experience working in the tech or professional services industry
